This Privacy Policy describes how Mugi's Nest ("the App," "we," "our") handles information when you use our application. Mugi's Nest is a cozy sleep companion: a virtual capybara ("Mugi") sleeps when you put your phone down at bedtime, and good nights earn gifts, visiting friends, streaks, and furniture to decorate Mugi's nest.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy applies to all users of the Mugi's Nest iOS application.
We operate no servers of our own, and we collect no personal data on our own behalf.
Your sleep session history, journal entries, streaks, bedtime settings, in-game progress (gifts, furniture, friends, currency), and ambience mix preferences are stored locally on your device. A small shared on-device container (App Group) is used solely so the App's own widgets can display your streak and session state. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you delete the App.
The App does not read or write Apple Health data and makes no medical or health claims.
The App uses local notifications only, scheduled on your device: an optional bedtime reminder (weekday/weekend schedules you configure) and a morning nudge when a gift is waiting. No push notification service is used and no notification data leaves your device. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings or in the App's bedtime settings.
Optional Mugi's Nest Pro upgrades (a yearly auto-renewable subscription and a Lifetime one-time purchase) are processed entirely by Apple App Store (StoreKit). We do not receive or store your payment information. Purchase status is verified on-device.
The App is designed to detect phone pickups during a sleep session using Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls (DeviceActivity) framework, running entirely on-device. This framework provides only event counts (e.g., "the phone was picked up"); it never reveals which apps were used, and no usage data leaves the device.
The App uses Apple platform services (StoreKit, UserNotifications, WidgetKit, App Groups, DeviceActivity, AVFoundation, SpriteKit) and one third-party SDK: Meta Platforms — Facebook SDK, used solely for advertising measurement (attributing app installs and purchase events to our own ad campaigns on Meta platforms). It records app events (such as app activation and completed purchases, including amount and currency) and, only with your App Tracking Transparency permission, the device advertising identifier (IDFA). This data is processed by Meta under Meta's own privacy policy. The App shows no third-party ads.

Deleting the App removes all local data (including the widget shared container). There is no server-side data to delete.
The App is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL.
